OUR MISSION

The Mission of the Society shall be to collect and preserve historical relics, books, manuscripts, pamphlets, anecdotes, and biographies; to prepare and present papers on such subjects; to mount appropriate marks, tablets, or inscriptions at the sites of historic events and to generate interest in the town.

OUR VISION

The Lunenburg Historical Society serves multiple audiences in our community through a variety of outreach programs and events. We collaborate with local and regional organizations on topics  of mutual interest. We continue to research and explore historical issues critical to our past and relevant to community life today.

We value accuracy and verification in our published materials and believe in working closely with partner organizations and interest groups to maximize our efforts. We make every effort to ensure that all of our services and programs are available to everyone regardless of status, disability, or financial means.
